A virtual private network for amateur radio purposes
VPN
Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a networking service offering connection to an existing private network. With our VPN service, we route an IP address of AMPRNet to your device. This would make your device accessible through the internet.
Example Use Cases
- Serve a website from your home, station, or club station
- Serve your webSDR
- Monitor the dashboard of Pi-Star Hotspot
- Build your own DVSwitch Server
- Remote Controlling your AllStarLink Node
- Host your own EchoLink node without a proxy
- Operating a packet radio
NOTE: This is exclusively for amateur radio related research, development, experimentation, or operational purposes.
Requirements
- A ham license (must not be expired nor revoked)
- AMPRNet Portal Account (register your own at portal.ampr.org)
Requesting for an IP address
- Search for our subnet on the portal, and request for sub-allocation
- Wait for our agreement, configuration and reply
